How Bebermeier Schaumstoffe GmbH from Extertal used the REINER jetStamp® 1025 and MP3 ink to optimize traceability, minimize sources of error and increase efficiency
customer
Bebermeier Schaumstoffe GmbH from Extertal produces high-quality foam sheets for seat fillings, inserts, mattresses and many other applications. The products are supplied in various shapes and sizes and must be clearly labeled to enable seamless traceability.
challenge
Previously, a hand-held competitor product (EBS250) was used, but this had several weaknesses:
- Insufficient resolution - barcodes were not always machine-readable
- Lack of a reliable connection to the ERP system
- Labels detached from the foam surfaces, especially when the material was moved or deformed
- No stable barcode identification for the entire production process
Solution & Implementation
Use of the REINER jetStamp® 1025 with MP3 ink, a black, quick-drying ink for non-porous surfaces such as foam.
Additional accessories:
- Silicone protective cover for use in the production environment
Special features:
- Reliable direct printing without labels - regardless of material deformation
- Transfer of the batch designation from the ERP system directly to the device via Bluetooth
- Immediately readable EAN codes for automatic tracking and booking in the system
result
- Clear, machine-readable barcodes directly on the foam
- Direct ERP connection via Bluetooth - no manual data entry necessary
- Increased process reliability by eliminating label losses
- Time savings in order processing
- Error rate greatly reduced - no transmission errors due to manual input
Technical highlights
- Direct printing of EAN barcodes and numbering on foam surfaces
- MP3 ink (P5-MP3-BK): Black, quick-drying ink for non-porous and difficult surfaces
- Bluetooth data transfer from the ERP system to the jetStamp® 1025
- Mobile use without a fixed station
