The solution, which is as obvious as it is clever, means that from now on, 30 pallets that are regularly delivered on a weekly basis no longer need to be stored and re-picked. Instead, Ganter has set up a separate handling area: specifically for goods with a short storage time, clearly defined for onward shipment, without intermediate work steps.

Solution
Since then, labeling has been carried out in two quick steps. First, the pallet receives its barcode, then all cartons are printed directly with a consecutive barcode and can thus be clearly assigned. Because the barcode is printed directly onto the carton, sources of error, such as those that occur with adhesive labels, are eliminated. With its solution, Ganter picks without mix-ups -
newly marked with an individual, consecutive imprint.

The result of this application in the dispatch center of the forming element specialist Ganter is impressive: Due to the parallel storage of the throughput item, the speed and also the availability of the goods is increased.
