A medium-sized cosmetics manufacturer from southern Germany produces skin care products in small and medium-sized batches. The range includes creams, serums and special editions in glass flacons, plastic jars and folding boxes.
Batch numbers, best-before dates and internal production markings are required for all packaging - in particular to ensure traceability in accordance with the Cosmetics Regulation.
The challenge
The previous solution was based on pre-printed labels for labeling outer packaging and transport cartons.
Several problems arose in the process:
