Thomas Pointner GmbH produces standard and special pallets for international export in Austria. As a reliable partner to the logistics industry, the focus is on stable production, standard-compliant labeling and efficient processes.
The challenge
Reliable and standard-compliant marking in accordance with ISPM-15 (IPPC standard) is essential for the international export of wooden pallets. Thomas Pointner GmbH was looking for a more efficient solution for direct marking during the production process.
The previous method - burning in the IPPC logo using a branding iron - was time-consuming, inflexible and ergonomically stressful. Especially with stacked pallets, manual handling posed a challenge and slowed down production.
The company was looking for a mobile coding system that is easy to operate, delivers precise print images and can be seamlessly integrated into existing processes - for economical, secure and future-proof export coding.
The solution
With the REINER jetStamp® 1025, a solution has been introduced that prints the IPPC logo quickly and cleanly directly onto the wood - wirelessly, precisely and in less than one second per print. Printing takes place directly at the storage location, completely eliminating the need for internal routes and the time-consuming repacking of pallets.
The device is easy to operate, has two trigger options (on the side or on the handle) and an integrated display for checking the print image. This means that employees always have an overview and can react flexibly to changing requirements - even when workloads are high.
The print images are created using the PCset graphic software and transferred to the device via Bluetooth. The standard-compliant marking is thus digitally prepared, applied on site and executed with consistently high quality - even on rough wooden surfaces.
