Steel beams must be clearly and unambiguously traceable in the production process. The aim was to label each girder with a barcode from the production consignment bill. directly on the metal<\/strong>, mobile and without stationary infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previous solution was purely paper-based - there was no way of labeling components in a machine-readable and robust manner. Traditional labels were unsuitable: They adhere poorly to metal, get dirty easily or come off. In addition, there was no IT infrastructure available for printers or data transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
